ABC Precast & Ready Mix Ltd. is proud to take environmental responsibility seriously. For example, process water in our ponds are tested for pH, suspended solids and total extractable hydrocarbons. Test samples are sent to an approved third party laboratory. Results are then recorded and reviewed by an independent environmental consultant for revisions to our environmental management plan.

All our Ready Mix Trucks are equipped with the “EnviroChute” chute wash system. We have dedicated slump racks and a truck wash down area where only recycled water is used. recycled water use in our batch plant is coming soon, as well. Our dust collector minimizes cement powder emissions and recycles the reclaimed powder.

We follow the Ministry of Environment’s (MOE) Code of Practice for the Concrete and Concrete Products Industry, under provisions as set out by the Environmental Management Act (EMA) and the Waste Discharge Regulations (WDR).

Environmentally Friendly, Pervious Concrete

By using a specific production process, ABC can produce concrete that allows water to drain through. This 'pervious concrete' is a perfect choice to make your project more environmentally friendly. Use pervious concrete almost anywhere you have a flat surface that has to drain water.

Why Pervious Concrete?

• Protect streams, watersheds, and ecosystems by achieving zero run-off
• Allows oil and grease to be processed naturally, through filtration and microbial conversion
